2 hurt in Darke County motorcycle crash

A Clayton couple were ejected from their motorcycle Sunday afternoon.

Ray Homsi, 52, was driving a 2010 Harley Davidson around 2:55 p.m. when he lost control along McNutt Road in Greenville. His wife, Michelle Homsi, 49, was a passenger. They both were wearing helmets, according to the Darke County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies, along with New Madison Fire and Arcanum Rescue responded to the crash, which was just east of U.S. 127.

According to the sheriff's office, Ray Homsi was traveling east on McNutt Road when he tried to negotiate a curve and lost control in some loose gravel. The motorcycle went off the right side of the roadway and struck a mailbox.

The couple were taken to Wayne Hospital, where they were both listed in stable condition.

The crash remains under investigation.
