2 injured from funeral procession accident in Miami County

An accident on U.S. 36 in Miami County involving a funeral procession resulted in two people being transported to the hospital, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred near the 1200 block of U.S 36 and involved a funeral procession from Suber-Shively Funeral Home in Fletcher, Ohio. The driver responsible for the accident swerved left of center to avoid hitting stopped traffic and crashed into a car involved in the procession. The driver responsible was transported to Upper Valley Medical Center and the woman he hit was careflighted, as a precaution, to Miami Valley Hospital. Both parties involved were said to have non-life threatening injuries.
