“I see how my friends and neighbors, and the entire world are hurting,” said Prince in a press release. “We’re all in this crisis together, so I wanted to use my song and its message of loving one another to try and do some good. By working with the Second Harvest Food Bank and Feeding America, I’m able to help those directly impacted in my community and reach out across our country and help families in need by providing access to food.”
The food bank partners with more than 65 organizations, including local pantries and schools, to feed those in need in Clark, Champaign and Logan Counties.
“We are so grateful that Tay Da Prince had the idea of supporting his community and the country,” SHFB executive director Tyra Jackson said. “The song’s message couldn’t come at a better time and his dedication to philanthropy is much appreciated. Through his fundraising efforts with the Love One Another Foundation, the Second Harvest Food Bank along with Feeding America will be able to continue making impactful food donations to those in need from Ohio to our country.”
