JUST IN: Chick-fil-A reopens today, 10 days after tornado damage

The Chick-fil-A restaurant on North Fairfield Road near the Mall at Fairfield Commons in Beavercreek reopened today, June 6, 2019 after being shut down for 10 days for tornado damage.

It took 10 days for a local Chick-fil-A to get fully back on its feet following damage from the Dayton area’s Memorial Day tornadoes, but the restaurant near the Mall at Fairfield Commons in Beavercreek reopened today, June 6.

“The damage we suffered was significant, which led to a 10-day closure, but what we sustained pales in comparison to some of our neighbors,” a spokeswoman for the Chick-fil-A at 2360 N. Fairfield Road told this news outlet. “We are grateful for all the concern and support we’ve received, but we want to remember those who will be dealing with the aftermath of the tornado for months, or even years, to come.”

On the restaurant’s Facebook page announcement of the reopening, the Beavercreek Chick-fil-A said, “Please pardon our dust as we continue to repair the damage we sustained. “ The spokeswoman said she could not provide details on the restaurant’s damage.

The Chick-fil-A will be open from 6:30 a.m. until 10 p.m. today and going forward,

The Beavercreek restaurant, which has been open for more than a decade, shut down for three weeks in the fall of 2017 for a significant makeover of its kitchen.

The franchise owner of the North Fairfield Road restaurant also operates a Chick-fil-A in the Mall at Fairfield Commons food court.
