Kettering native Rob Dyrdek, a skateboarding legend and venture capitalist, will soon be able to add a new title to his resume: business advisor.

NBC has given the go ahead for "Funded," a new reality show set to feature entrepreneurs battling to get their business funded.

Dyrdek, along with supermodel and media mogul Tyra Banks and brand builder Rohan Oza, a brand builder, will serve as mentors on the competition show, according to Variety.

The entrepreneurs and their mentors will sell their ideas to a venture capitalist in front of a live audience for a shot at up to $1 million.

Only one startup will be funded an episode.

Always the go-getter, Dyrdek created the show.
