Kettering residents can get their documents shredded for free today, September 17, until noon at City Hall.

The project is a joint effort of the city and Day Air Credit Union.

The city expects about 450 cars will come to the annual event.

“It’s very popular,” said Mary Jo Csizma, recycling coordinator for the city and part of the KetterGreen employee group. “People need to get rid of their documents in a safe way.”

The professional shredding trucks are on site now at City Hall, 3600 Shroyer Road.

It is free for Kettering residents only.
