Lebanon police searching for bank robbery suspect

LEBANON — Police are searching for a man who robbed a Lebanon bank this afternoon.

A lone man walked into the LCNB at 730 Columbus Ave. and handed the teller a note demanding money, said Lebanon Police Chief Ken Burns.

The man did not display a weapon during the robbery, Burns said.

A teller was able to slip a dye-pack into the money handed to the robber and it exploded as the man was fleeing on foot near the B Lewie Salon, a blocks west of LCNB on Columbus Avenue.

Burns said police were continuing to search for the man, who they believed acted alone. He is described as a white male with a goatee. He was wearing grey pants, a grey heavy canvas jacket and a red toboggan hat that may have had an Ohio State University logo on it, Burns said.

This is the second bank robbery in as many months in Lebanon. Jessie Lasecki, 29, of Lebanon, is accused of robbing the US Bank on Dec. 28, a block away from LCNB.
