Lebanon woman killed in single-vehicle crash

State troopers said a Lebanon woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash Monday night.

Emergency units were dispatched around 7:45 p.m. Monday to Wilmington Road near Liberty-Keuter Road, east of the City of Lebanon on a reported crash.

According to a release from the Lebanon Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, an investigation found a 2003 Ford Taurus drove off the left side of the road and crashed into a utility pole.

The driver, identified as 55-year-old Sharon Beckett, of Lebanon, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers said speed and alcohol appear to be factors in the crash. Beckett was also not wearing a seat belt, according to troopers.

The Lebanon Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
