• Oct. 13: Ohio Amish Country Food & Craft —The editors of Ohio Magazine talk about where to get some of the best pies and baked goods in Ohio’s Amish country.
• Nov. 10: A Portrait of the Pyramid Hill Ancient Sculpture Collection — Archeologist Steven Tuck talks about the collection. Highlights include portraits, tomb monuments and cult statues.
• Dec. 8: The Treasure Experience — Stories, photographs and film highlight a presentation by world-renowned treasure hunter and Hamilton native, Capt. Carl Fismer. Known as “Capt. Fizz,” he has been a professional treasure hunter for more than 40 years. In that time, he has recovered more than $10 million in sunken treasure.
• Jan. 12: History of Radio — WMKV-FM’s George Zahn and Mike Martini, two longtime Cincinnati radio broadcasters and historians, will share memories of the golden age of radio broadcasting from the 1930s through ’50s.
• Feb. 9: Gardening tips from retired Judge John Moser. The master gardener will provide a tour of some of the best-known gardens in Hamilton.
• March 9: The Civil War — This presentation by Andrew Clayton marks the 150th anniversary of the war.
• April 13: Cookin’ with Marilyn Harris — Author, teacher and radio show host Marilyn Harris will share cooking tips and recipes.
• May 11: Summer Ohio Travel Tips — Ohio magazine returns to preview some of the must-see attractions and events for the summer of 2011.
Each lecture is preceded by a buffet lunch at 11:30 a.m. The cost for members is $15 and non-members $17. The Fitton Center is at 101 S. Monument Ave., Hamilton.
