A man who lives in the 1500 block of Taylor Avenue said that he got into an altercation with his wife who has been high on drugs. She picked up his new set of dentures and snapped them in half. She then left.
May 17
Gregory Combs, 53, of Middletown, was charged with petty theft and criminal trespassing after he removed items from a garage on a vacant residence in the 1400 block of Pershing Avenue. Combs told police that the owner didn’t mind if the items were removed. He took a propane tank and miscellaneous straps and tools.
May 18
Someone broke into a residence in the 3100 block of Andrew Street and stole all the food out of the refrigerator, unplugged the stove and turned it over.
Two tires were flattened and a temporary tag was stolen from a vehicle that was parked in the 2300 block of Longfellow Street.
Two flower pots and a black license plate were stolen in the 1000 block of Auburn Street.
Someone broke into the Middletown Youth Softball Association concession stand, 1600 Highland St., and stole a cash register and $90. They entered through a metal window shield. The cash register, badly broken, was found in the nearby woods. The money had been removed.
May 19
An employee at Cracker Barrel, 3280 Towne Blvd., said someone stole her purse out of her unlocked vehicle.
An outside air conditioner, valued at $2,500, was stolen from a vacant property in the 1800 block of Winona Drive.
A Rumpke trash can was stolen from Middletown Dog Training Center, 1811 Germantown Road.
Robin Walker, 38, of South Breiel Boulevard, was charged with breaking and entering and criminal tools after he was found allegedly trying to remove ceiling fans from a vacant residence in the 3200 block of Bexley Drive. He told police that he used to live there, and since the home was vacant, he wanted his fans back.
A PlayStation III was stolen from a residence in the 500 block of Young Street.
Numerous tools were stolen from a vehicle that was parked in the 3100 block of Roosevelt Boulevard.
Graffiti was painted on the sidewalk by a doctor’s office in the 1000 block of Summit Drive. The doctor said he didn’t know who could have been responsible.
Someone entered an unlocked residence in the 1300 block of First Avenue and stole a Toshiba laptop, valued at $350, and a $450 mini iPad.
