St. Patrick's Day was cool but dry, and clouds gave way to some sunshine, Meteorologist Kirstie Zontini said, noting that temperatures climbed from about 20 degrees to the low to mid-40s. Breezes kept wind chills in the single digits.
A mix of sun and clouds Tuesday will keep the high temperature in the mid-50s. Clouds will increase through the evening.
Wednesday will feature off-and-on showers throughout the day, along with breezes especially in the afternoon that will keep the high near 50. A cold front is due later on Wednesday, but area temps should climb into the 50s before the front arrives.
For the first day of spring -- Thursday -- it will be mostly sunny with highs near the mid-50s.
Friday will be breezy with a high near 60 degrees. Simpson said it looks like showers will hold off at least until midnight.
