A line of drivers were southbound on Shroyer in the curb lane, when the first car, preparing to turn right onto Dorothy, stopped to let the students cross. The fourth car in the line hit the third car, which then hit the rear of the second car.
Burke said there were no injuries and only minor damage to the cars. The driver who started the crash will be cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance.
