Multiple cars involved in accident in Kettering

KETTERING — A three-car crash occurred at the intersection of Dorothy Lane and Shroyer Road as students were walking to school Tuesday morning, but no one was injured.

Kettering police officer Michael Burke said students were crossing Dorothy Lane via the crosswalk on the west side of the intersection shortly before 8 a.m.

A line of drivers were southbound on Shroyer in the curb lane, when the first car, preparing to turn right onto Dorothy, stopped to let the students cross. The fourth car in the line hit the third car, which then hit the rear of the second car.

Burke said there were no injuries and only minor damage to the cars. The driver who started the crash will be cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance.
