Neighbor calls 911 after seeing smoke come from Trotwood home

Investigators were on scene after a fire in a Trotwood home.

The Trotwood Fire Department was dispatched to the 3900 block of Brumbaugh Boulevard after a neighbor reported seeing smoke coming from the one-story home Sunday around noon.

The fire started in the kitchen and filled the whole house with smoke, according to Trotwood Fire Department Captain Downey.

The cause is unknown at this time.

No one was injured or home during the incident, Downey said.

Brumbaugh Boulevard and Natchez Avenue were closed while firefighters worked to knock the fire down, according to regional dispatcher’s log.
