Drinkos, an alcohol-delivery company that promises “no more late-night trips to the liquor or convenience store,” will launch its Dayton-area service at 4 p.m. Thursday, May 21, a Drinkos spokeswoman said this morning.

The Cincinnati-based company will deliver beer, wine and low-powered spirits (42 proof or less), as well as cigars, ice, soda, and snacks, from a licensed facility in north Dayton, Drinkos spokeswoman Rachel Ennis said. The delivery area is within about 20 miles of that facility, and orders should arrive in approximately one hour or less, Ennis said.

The company is seeking to collaborate with area convenience stores or beer-and-wine shops that would deliver orders using their own drivers to customers who live nearby, she said.

Customers must provide a birth date when ordering, and upon delivery, IDs are scanned using a third-party ID verification system, according to a Drinkos release.

Drinkos is also re-launching its Cincinnati service, which initially started delivering products last fall, Ennis said.
