New Dayton Radio Station on FM98.7 Playing Classic R&B

“The Soul of Dayton” is a new community radio station playing classic rhythm and blues tunes from the mid-to-late 60s, 70s, and early-80s. FM98.7 features the sounds of Motown, early funk and local groups that found national fame – including the Isley Brothers, Ohio Players, Heatwave, Zapp, Faze-O and Lakeside. BCDayton Broadcasting is responsible for launching “The Soul of Dayton” station on 99.1 HD3 and FM 98.7.

“Not everyone has a digital FM radio in their home or car. We are relaying the 99.1 HD3 programming on FM98.7, which can be heard on regular FM radios by those living in Dayton and its nearby suburbs,” said Brad LaBarr, a partner in BCDayton Broadcasting. “We will start by playing over 15,000 tunes without commercial interruption.”
