The Primanti Bros. restaurant under construction in Beavercreek is on track for an early April opening, according to a spokeswoman for the Pittsburgh-based sandwich chain.

The restaurant will be located in an outlot at 2430 N. Fairfield Road near Target, adjacent to a newly opened IHOP.

“We are looking good for early April,” Primanti Bros. spokeswoman Amy Smith told this news organization. The mild weather — until this week, anyway — “has really helped us stay on schedule,” Smith said.

Primanti Bros. is known for its “Almost Famous” sandwich, which includes meat, coleslaw and french fries on Italian bread. The 24-hour flagship restaurant, which traces its roots to 1933, has been featured on the Food Network and the Travel Channel.

Primanti Bros. has only one Ohio location, and that’s in Boardman, near Youngstown. It operates 22 locations in Pennsylvania, three in West Virginia, three in Florida and one in Maryland.
