Scotty’s Fishin’ Chips will locate in the former Elton's on Main Family Restaurant , 1802 E. Main St.
Scotty's owner Anthony Mancini has completed work on the kitchen of the leased building and is now installing corrugated metal siding on the dining room walls and ceiling.
He said the the 80 capacity dining room’s rustic atmosphere--like the menu-is intended to be simple. The menu will be fish and chicken, sides and a daily special, feeding a family of four for less than $50.
Mancini also plans to offer carry-out box lunches through call-in and possibly fax orders.
He puts the cost of updating and remodeling the restaurant, which also previously housed Cat Daddy’s Café, at $15,000.
