An Oregon District pub is getting behind a renovation project that will put it any customer discomfort in the rear-view mirror by the end of the week.
“Our dining room chairs and bar stools are getting a makeover,” Lucky’s Taproom & Eatery told its customers on its Facebook page. The pub at 520 E. Fifth St. in the heart of Dayton’s Oregon District will not open today, Tuesday Sept. 3, and will remain closed for three days before reopening this Friday, Sept. 6.
“We would hate to make you stand or sit on the floor while eating your food, so we will be closed while our beloved seats get a fresh new look,” Lucky’s told its customers.
“Please don't be mad at them — chairs deserve to feel beautiful too. We apologize for any inconvenience and look forward to seeing you all again come Friday the 6th!”
One supportive customer assured Lucky’s on Facebook that, “You know we love you so much we WOULD stand!”
Lucky’s was founded in 2011 and offers 20 craft-beer taps. It is open daily, serving lunch and dinner on weekdays and brunch and dinner on weekends.
