Numerous callers reported the collision to the regional dispatch center.

“They need to get somebody here now!” one 911 caller urged.
The deputy went to Granview but is expected to be OK, as is the other person taken to the hospital, Harrison Twp. fire officials said.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Dayton Post is handling the investigation, but one 911 caller who saw the crash wanted dispatchers to know this: “They’re already claiming on scene that it was the sheriff’s fault and it was not.”
A Montgomery County sheriff’s deputy and another driver were taken to a local hospital after a two-vehicle crash this evening in Harrison Twp.
The crash was reported around 6:35 p.m. at Main Street and Turner Road.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
The deputy and the driver of the other vehicle were taken to Grandview Medical Center, OSP said.
