Tree falls on main line, knocks out power for hundreds in Greene County

UPDATE @ 11:36 a.m.:

DP&L spokesperson Kelly Millhouse said that a tree fell into a main line, knocking power out for a total of 1,412 people in Greene County.

She said that at 11:18 a.m., crews restored power for 1,387 customers and are working to restore the final outages.

UPDATE @ 11:15 a.m.:

The DP&L map shows that a total of 1,420 people are without power in Greene County, with more outages continuing to be reported.

It is unknown at this time if the outage is related to weather.

INITIAL REPORT:

The DP&L power outage map is showing that over 1,400 people are without power in Greene County.

The outage was reported just after 10:20 a.m. Saturday morning, leaving a total of 1,406 DP&L customers without power.

News Center 7 has reached out to DP&L for any suspected cause, but information was not immediately available.
