The sobriety checkpoint in Vandalia will be conducted by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and is funded by federal grant funds to deter and intercept impaired drivers.

Ohio law requires law enforcement agencies to announce the times and locations of OVI checkpoints ahead of time.
Anyone who consumes alcohol is urged to designate a driver or make other travel arrangements.
