Parking garage lowering fee to $1 to help Oregon District business

The Transportation Center Garage is lowering its fee to $1 after 7 p.m. in hopes of helping Oregon District businesses.

Despite the garage’s close proximity to the Oregon District, most of its 1,400 spots sit mostly empty during the evenings and on the weekends.

Currently, the fee rises to $4 after 90 minutes and $6 after two and a half hours. The reduced fee is expected to be implemented in the coming weeks.
