Payroll Project: Warren County’s highest-paid employees

Of the nine Warren County employees paid more than $100,000 last year, two worked in the health department, two in law enforcement, two in the child support enforcement agency, one in telecommunications, and the rest in administration, according to a searchable database of payroll records assembled by the I-Team.

The number of county employees entering the $100K club has decreased by nine since 2014. The county of 224,469 residents had 375 public workers earning more than $50,000 in 2015, compared to 394 the year prior.

The five highest-paid Warren County employees last year:

1. Medical Director Scott Swope: $183,514

2. Mental Health Administrator James Lawyer: $124,411

3. County Administrator David Gully: $121,028

4. Coroner Russell Uptegrove: $115,703

5. First Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Elizabeth Schorr: $111,605
