David Boyea, 33, faces two felony counts of attempted murder and one felony count of aggravated burglary. The indictment was served on Boyea on Tuesday, Feb. 14, in the county jail, where he has been held since shortly after the incident. Troy police said Boyea when to the hotel where the 33 year old woman and a 30 year old man were staying and knocked on the door. When the door opened, he allegedly forced his way in and stabbed both occupants.
They were taken to Miami Valley Hospital by CareFlight. Police said all three worked at the local Burger King

David Boyea, 33, the man accused of stabbing his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend at a Troy hotel early Monday morning, denied charges of attempted murder and aggravated burglary, according to proceedings this morning in Miami County Municipal Court.
The judge set bond at $550,000.
The victims — A 30-year-old man and 33-year-old woman — suffered injuries not considered life-threatening.
Police said Boyea attacked the couple in their room at America’s Best Inn. During the struggle the male victim knocked the knife out of the suspect’s hand and managed to retaliate, causing minor cuts to the suspect’s shoulder and arm.
The suspect was taken to Upper Valley Medical Center for treatment of injuries before he was transported and booked into the Miami County Jail.

The man suspected of stabbing his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend has been taken into custody.
David Boyea, 33, was arrested around 9 a.m. in the area of South Mulberry and East Race streets in Troy.
Boyea was taken to the Upper Valley Medical Center to be checked out for injuries.

Troy police identified the suspect in an early morning double stabbing as David Boyea, 33.
Police said Boyea knocked on the hotel room door of his ex-girlfriend, who was inside with a man she’s in a current relationship with. When the couple opened the door, Boyea began stabbing both
The woman was stabbed in the chest. Details of the man’s injuries are unknown at this time.
Both sustained serious injuries.

Troy police said two stabbing victims were found inside a hotel room.
Police believe the suspect is known to the victims. Both were taken to the hospital by CareFlight, but their condition is unknown at this time.
FIRST REPORT
CareFlight has been requested to a reported double stabbing at a Troy hotel Monday morning.
Police and medics were dispatched to America’s Best Inn at 30 Troy Town Drive around 3:45 a.m. on initial reports that a man and a woman were stabbed.
CareFlight has been requested to the scene and will reportedly land in the nearby Walmart parking lot.
The condition of the victims and severity of injuries sustained was not immediately known.
