Initial reports indicate the individual was struck in the 1800 block just after 7 a.m.
The person was taken by ground transportation after a medical helicopter was canceled from responding to the scene.
This incident is one of several pedestrian strikes reported throughout the Miami Valley this morning.
- The first incident occurred on East Main Street in Springfield, where a 35-year-old male in all dark clothing was struck by a vehicle just before 5 a.m. According to officials, he suffered minor injuries and walked away from the scene.
- A second person was struck in the area of North Keowee and First Streets in Dayton just before 6 a.m. The pedestrian was transported to Miami Valley Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
- Another person was struck in a parking lot on Greenwood Way in Greenville. No other details were immediately available.
- The latest strike occurred in the area of South Gettysburg Avenue and Nicholas Road in Dayton around 7:45 a.m.
