Physical therapy practice opens in Beavercreek

BEAVERCREEK — Alan Lafky, a licensed physical therapist, recently opened Body in Balance Physical Therapy, 810 Orchard Lane, Suite 201.

Lafky said his practice focuses on the strain-counterstrain concept, a manual therapy method emphasizing a gentle approach to resolve pain from abnormal tissue tensions in muscles, viscera or the lymphatics. Many of the techniques may be taught or self-applied, allowing for self-treatment rather than having to rely on a practitioner.
