Pickup truck slams into Premier Health Network building sign, tree in Xenia

A medical condition could be why a pickup truck crashed into the sign outside the Premier Health Network office building, 193 S. Progress Drive, in Xenia, police said.

Police allowed the driver to leave the scene with his parents. A police sergeant said the department might not pursue charges because a medical condition could be the issue.

Police did administer a sobriety test as part of the routine crash investigation protocol.

The truck also clipped a wall of the office building and a tree before coming to rest in a clump of trees. Police were dispatched about 10:16 p.m. on the report of the accident.

According to police, the vehicle left the roadway at 121 S. Progress Drive.
