PNC to offer banking services at Miami University

OXFORD — PNC Bank plans to open a new branch at Miami University, part of a deal for PNC to offer banking and financial consulting services at the college campus.

PNC will manage an electronic banking system, host a customized PNC website for Miami University and open seven on-campus ATMs, the company said Wednesday. Renovations will begin soon at Shriver Center for the new branch location, which is expected to open during summer.

Banks are increasingly opening locations in more alternative places to be closer to customers, such as shopping centers, hospitals and college campuses. PNC also has university banking relationships in Ohio with Bowling Green University, Case Western Reserve University, Muskingum University, Notre Dame College and the University of Cincinnati.

A total 137 PNC bank branches are located in the Dayton and Cincinnati metro regions. PNC is the third largest bank in the Dayton area by deposits of $1.6 billion, according to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.
