Update: Missing 11-year-old from Kettering found safe

UPDATE @ 8:13 a.m.:

An 11-year-old girl reported missing after last being seen yesterday at the Kettering Adventure Reef Water Park was found safe at a home in Dayton.

Police said the incident was a misunderstanding surrounding a sleepover at a friend’s house.

UPDATE @ 8 a.m: Emily J. May, 11, of Kettering was found safe at a friend's house, according to officials.

May had been missing since Monday afternoon.

An 11-year-old girl is missing from Kettering, according to officials.

Emily J. May was last seen by family on June 4, at the Kettering Adventure Reef Water Park located at 2900 Glengarry Drive.

Emily remained at the water park while others left for a short period of time, and when they returned she was not there, according to a release.

She has not returned home or contacted her family.

Emily is four-foot-eight, weighs 92 pounds and has brown hair with hazel eyes.
