Police look to question second 18-year-old in shooting death of Dunbar HS freshman

Police are looking for a second 18-year-old in connection to the investigation of the shooting death of a Dunbar High School freshman earlier this month.

Investigators said they are looking to speak with Malakhy McCain as a part of their investigation into Feb. 16 shooting of two juveniles on Catalpa Drive.

The shooting killed Qua’Lek Shelton and injured a 16-year-old.

Police ask if you have information about McCain or his whereabouts, you’re asked to call Dayton police at 937-333-2677.

Thursday, police announced they arrested another 18-year-old in connection to the double-shooting.

Jackeem Alexander Collins was charged with two counts of murder, six counts of felonious assault and one gun charge.  He with remained in jail Friday, records show.
