Police say it could take four or five hours to clear a semi-tractor trailer that flipped and is leaking fuel following a crash in Vandalia this afternoon.
Around 1:30 p.m., the semi crashed off Brown School Road at Little York Road. Officials are working to keep fuel out of a nearby creek after the semi came to a rest on its side. The trailer cracked open in the crash, and 2-liter plastic bottles that the semi was hauling is now scattered across the roadway.
Police said the semi may have to be unloaded before it can be flipped upright.
No injuries have been reported.
