Police: Someone sets USPS mailbox on fire

The investigation into who set a U.S. Postal Service mailbox on fire in Dayton is now in the hands of the postal service.

The blue mailbox that was set on fire sat outside the Kroger store on Wayne Avenue.

News Center 7 was told that someone over the weekend, started a fire inside the box, destroying the letters and packages inside it.

A Kroger employee poured a bucket of water inside the mailbox to put the flames out.
