Police reportedly take 3rd suspect into custody after armed robbery, chase

UPDATE @ 12:50 p.m.:

Reports indicate the third suspect is now in custody after the armed robbery and chase.

According to a 911 call obtained by this newsroom, the victim was selling a gaming system before the armed robbery took place.

“My son was selling a PlayStation online, the people came here and they pulled a gun on him and robbed him at gunpoint,” the caller told dispatchers.

“We were talking about the deal and he was acting like he was reaching to grab the money,” the victim told dispatchers. “Then he looked inside to see if everything was inside of it, and then he pulled a gun at me.”

FIRST REPORT:

Deputies have taken two people into custody and are searching for one after an armed robbery in Trotwood and chase through Dayton, according to Montgomery County Regional dispatch.

Three males used a handgun to rob a house on Lorimer Street in Trotwood before fleeing in a silver 2004 Dodge SUV.

The three were last seen heading south on Olive Road before officers later found them on North James H. McGee, dispatch said.

Two of the suspects were taken into custody, and police are currently searching for the third suspect on Fotip Lane.

Additional details were not immediately available.
