UPDATE: Man and woman taken out back of minivan on its side in downtown Springfield crash

UPDATE @ 4:35 P.M.

Two older people were removed from a minivan that appeared to have been knocked onto its side by another vehicle.

Crews helped remove the man and woman from the back of the minivan in the intersection of Main and Center streets.

The man was standing and talking with responders, and the woman appeared to be transported by emergency crews.

INITIAL REPORT, 4:14 P.M.

Crews are responding to a reported two-car crash that includes one on its side with possible entrapment at the intersection of Main and Center streets in downtown Springfield.

One vehicle is on its side and there is the possibility of entrapment, according to emergency dispatch traffic.

Multiple emergency vehicles are on the scene in the middle of the intersection.
