Prison chaplain accused of sexual conduct with inmate sentenced

A prison chaplain convicted of sexual battery after he engaged in sexual conduct with an inmate at the Dayton Correctional Institution was sentenced to probation for five years Tuesday.

Kenneth Bozeman, 53, of Dayton, was found guilty on nine counts of sexual battery last month.

According to prosecutors, Bozeman engaged in sexual conduct with a female inmate and the inmate then reported the crime to authorities.

Bozeman also will be required to register as a tier-three sex offender.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol conducted the investigation, including forensic biological evidence.

If Bozeman violates any portion of his probation, he could face 45 years in prison.
