Property owner hopes roadside sign stops beer can, bottle littering

If you've got the time, Jim Vantine wants you to read the sign -- and stop throwing cans and bottles and other trash on his property.

Doesn't matter what brand those first five words refer to, Vantine just wants to bottle up the disrespect that has been ongoing for months.

The sign -- as well as the plastic garbage can displayed with it -- was taken down Wednesday evening. Vantine hopes the sign, as crude as it is, has done its job.

"My kids play out here," he told this news organization late Wednesday afternoon.

He said he has the support of his neighbors in Beavercreek because cans, bottles and trash have been chucked onto their property as well.
