The district became aware of the statement today, according to Superintendent Andrea Townsend.
The statement which appears to have been written with a marker, reads: “The South will rise again, you (n-word).”
The statement violates board policy, she said, and if anyone is caught, the district will enforce the code of conduct.
“We do not tolerate it,” said Townsend.
We will continue to follow this story and bring you the latest information when it becomes available.
