The first wall is up on the $11 million REACH Center, a hub of activities, education and recreation under construction in Xenia.

The 75,000-square-foot building is taking shape near Progress Drive and West Second Street. It will be the new home for the YMCA in Xenia and will include office space/facilities for the Xenia Adult Recreation and Services Center, Kettering Health Network, Central State University and Clark State Community College.

“It's a game changer for our community as we continue to grow and people select Xenia as a great place to raise their families,” the city posted on Facebook.

Officials say the first phase of the project is to be open by early next year.
