Reverend installed at Brandt Lutheran

BRANDT — The Rev. David Jarvis-Schroeder was installed during the June 14 Sunday morning worship service as pastor of the Brandt Evangelical Lutheran Church on U.S. 40.

Jarvis-Schroeder was born and raised in Red Wing, Minn. He attended Wartburg Theological Seminary located in Dubuque, Iowa. There he met his wife, Jennifer. Jarvis-Schroeder spent 12 years in North Dakota serving mostly small country churches and as chaplain of a nursing home in Mayville, N.D.

Jarvis-Schroeder moved to Minnesota to be closer to family and entered the Clinical Pastoral Education Residency Program in the fall of 2004 at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.

His first job as chaplain was staff chaplain in Springfield. After almost four years as chaplain, he decided to return to pastoral ministry in a local Lutheran parish. He began his duties as pastor of Brandt Lutheran Church on June 1.
