In Turtlecreek Twp., U.S. 42 between the northern border of Lebanon and the Red Stewart Airfield just south of Ohio 73 in Waynesville will be resurfaced, said Sharon Smigielski, spokeswoman for ODOT.
The project is slated to begin on Monday, July 12, but could begin as late as July 19 due to weather and other delays incurred in construction, Smigielski said.
Ohio 48 will be resurfaced within the village of Maineville, and from the northern limits of Lebanon to south of Ohio 73 in Clearcreek Twp.
Traffic will not be closed during construction but the heavily traveled two-lane roads will be constricted to one lane during portions of the construction period. Flaggers will be used to direct traffic in these instances. The resurfacing is expected to take three weeks to complete, Smigielski said.
Meanwhile, Liberty-Keuter Road, west of Lebanon, will be closed between Ohio 123 and Wilmington Road beginning on Monday, July 19, for up to seven weeks, according to Larry Wilson, road supervisor for Turtlecreek Twp. Smith Construction will handle the project, which will cost the township $100,000.
Wilson said the repair is necessary to replace a culvert.
The road is beginning to erode away, Wilson said.
