To get the best deal, grab your P&G coupon insert from the Sunday, Aug. 1, newspaper. Then hop over to pgesaver.com and load electronic coupons for your favorite products straight onto your Kroger shopper’s card. Some good coupons, like the one for Tide, are only available electronically, which is why you need to get on your computer for them.
At the Kroger sale, when you buy four participating P&G products, you’ll get $4 instantly at check-out. Match your coupons wisely, and you’ll end up spending very little out of pocket.
For example, buy two bottles of Gillette body wash and use two $2 off coupons; two bottles of Downy fabric softener and use two $1-off coupons; and two bottles of Herbal Essence or Aussie shampoos and two bottles of styler using two Buy One Get One Free coupons (all in the Aug. 1 insert) and pay $7.94 for $27.92 worth of products.
The shampoo is especially a good deal, at 50 cents a bottle.
Don’t have enough coupons? Use a clipping service. One of my favorites, www.theqhunter.com, is not open this week. However, you can order extras from couponsthingsbydede.com. They clip the amount of coupons you want and you pay for the service, plus shipping.
• Another new offer from P&G is Buy One Get One coupons on your birthday. Sign up at pgeverydaysolutions.com and receive special BOGO coupons on your birthday.
This site is also good for freebies and coupons. New offers are available every quarter but are limited to one per household per quarter. This is another great resource for finding savings on the products you use most.
