According to Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist McCall Vrydaghs, twenty-four hour rain totals across the region mostly ranged between 1 to a little more than 2 inches.
The Dayton International Airport registered 1.52 inches of rain as of 1:50am June 16, 2019, breaking the previous record daily rainfall of 1.26 inches set in 1949. The official totals will be determined later today and will likely be higher than what was originally reported.

The threat for flooding remains as more storms are expected later Sunday and through most of the week ahead. It’s important to remember, never drive through any flooded roads. If you find a road covered with water, turn around and find an alternate route.
