DETAILED FORECAST
OVERNIGHT: Showers and thunderstorms through early Friday may produce heavy rainfall of 1 to 2 inches on saturated ground. Poor drainage areas, creek, streams and ditches will have the highest chance of flooding, National Weather Service forecasters in Wilmington said. An isolated severe storm may develop with damaging winds and flooding the primary threat. Temperatures will be rising into and through the 60s. A brief spin-up cannot be ruled out of any strong storm. Hail is possible as well, but a lesser threat.
