On Tuesday, voters will be considering a new 0.30 percent permanent municipal income tax levy.

The tax will be split in half for fire protection and city street maintenance.

The issue will provide for a third fire station, which will result in a quicker emergency fire and medical response time.

If the levy passes, the city will allow a current quarter percent street levy to expire at the end of the year.
