Signs of life in former nightclub space in Harrison Twp.

A space on Shoup Mill Road near North Main Street in Harrison Twp. may have a new tenant soon.

A corporation doing business as “Echelon Ultra Lounge” applied to the Ohio Department of Commerce Division of Liquor Control last week for a full liquor license for the space at 120 Shoup Mill Road. The space formerly held a nightclub called Club Juicy that in 2010 has its application for a license renewal rejected, which led to its closure.

A liquor-license application often comes early in the development process of new bars, nightclubs and restaurants, and there is no guarantee that an application will lead to a new establishment actually opening in that space.

Harrison Twp. officials told this news outlet late last week that they have received no plans or permit applications for the space.

Attempts to reach the corporation that filed the liquor-license application have not been successful. We will update this story with any new information.
