West Carrollton woman critically injured in Miami County crash

UPDATE @ 1:21 p.m. (June 29):

A West Carrollton woman injured in a rollover crash between West Milton and Tipp City remained in critical condition Friday afternoon at Miami Valley Hospital.

Brooke Black, 25, was flown to the hospital after she was ejected Thursday evening during the crash at Kessler-Frederick and Neal-Pearson roads.

Black was a passenger in the vehicle driven by Joseph Blakley, 33, of Dayton. Blakley was listed in fair condition at Miami Valley Hospital.

Two children who also were in the vehicle were taken to Dayton Children’s Hospital, but neither were listed as patients Friday afternoon.

UPDATE @ 7:57 p.m. (June 28):

A woman riding in the front seat of a Geo Tracker was ejected this evening in a single-vehicle crash at Kessler-Frederick and Neal-Pearson roads between West Milton and Tipp City.

The crash was called in at 6:20 p.m.

The woman was taken by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital in critical condition.

Miami County Sheriff’s deputies confirmed the man driving the car struck a pole then veered into a cornfield. The car rolled over and landed on its side.

Two children, believed to be ages 5 and 8, were riding in the back seat.

The children were taken to Dayton Children’s Hospital for non-life threatening injures. The driver was taken to Miami Valley Hospital, also for non-life threatening injuries.

Police said the adults and children were coming back from a pool party and believe alcohol could have been a factor.

Kessler-Frederick Road at Neal-Pearson Road is currently shut down.

FIRST REPORT @6:58 p.m.:

A single-vehicle rollover crash was reported in Tipp City this evening on Kessler-Frederick and Neal-Pearson roads.

Scanner reports indicated four people were in the vehicle with one person ejected.

CareFlight crews have been requested.
