Students receiving "superior" ratings were: Alexandra Abboud, Andrew Abboud, Brooke Bowerman, Chris Bruening, Megan Bruening, Steven Chaney, Thomas Chaney, Sydney Flora, Ellen Freeh, Evan Hood, Kyla Jones, Laura Murray, Alexandra Robbins, Sammie Rowland, Briana Schultz, Elizabeth Walker, and Hannah Walker.

Students receiving "excellent" ratings were: Brandon Bischoff, Brittany Bowerman, Taylor Clark, Bethany Feitshans, Joey Hodge, Katie Landwehr, Noah Lingg, Ashley Maxson, Michelle Monce, Logan Pridemore, Jenna Roberts, Grant Schneider, Ellise Sharpe, Jacob Stillwagon, and Amber Wampler.

TIPP CITY — Tippecanoe Middle School sixth-grader Sammie Rowland, one of three students with perfect scores in the 2010 Tippecanoe Science Fair, held Feb. 18 at Tippecanoe High School, came away with the grand prize, a Red Devil DELL Notebook computer. The science fair is for students in grades six to 12 in Tippecanoe City Schools.

This was Rowland’s first participation. Two other students with perfect scores of 40 points from all three judges were Tippecanoe High School students Andrew Abboud, an 11th-grader, and Briana Schultz, a senior.

Students completed and exhibited projects in biology, chemistry, botany, space and earth sciences, computers, zoology, microbiology, biochemistry, physics, engineering, mathematics, medicine and health and behavioral & social science.

Seventeen students received a “Superior” rating, making them eligible to advance to the district contest at Central State University March 20.

Students with a superior rating there can go to the state contest at Ohio State University in May.
