FIRST TAKE
A fire at Stivers School for the Arts in Dayton remains under investigation.
The school is closed today due to the fire.
Firefighters said smoke filled the building on East Fifth Street just after 3 a.m.
When they arrived, the sprinklers were going off, as well.
Investigators will work to determine the cause, but said it appears the flames started in a prop storage room near the theater. The fire was centered on a stack of plywood.
Firefighters said it was difficult to find the fire because of all the smoke in the building. They said there was no sign of a break-in and all the doors were locked when they arrived.
