Street reopened following culvert collapse

A section of North Fourth Street in Tipp City that was closed since a culvert collapse during the May 21 record rainstorm reopened Dec. 4.

Tom’s Construction of St. Henry was hired in August to install a new concrete box culvert and headwalls and repair the street at a cost of up to $318,749. The work was delayed by the time needed to make the box culvert. The city received a $271,800 emergency grant from the Ohio Public Works Commission to help pay for the project.
